Tribute to the mother I never had

by La Reina De Corazones   May 23, 2012

With every passing day that passed by,
I never knew you,
Hadn't ever gotten the chance to get attached to you either for the good or the bad,
You never even gave me the chance to say goodbye,
You missed out when I bearly learned the alphabet,
Graduate from first grade into second grade,

Would've seen me go into the little fits of anger when I would loose it,
Gotten mad when I had done something wrong,
Would've been proud of me when I had thrown my first punch,
Could've been there to see that I hadn't turned into a spoiled brat,

Would've seen to it that I knew the difference between flirting and just being nice,
You never got to see that because you weren't that strong but I can tell you what you did do for me,

Gave me a family that raised me through thick and thin,
The education that they never had,
The pets that never stopped being there even as I started to mature,
Gave me the courage to be me even though I'm not the most obedient child born in the world,
Had the trouble of knowing that I was stuck up preppy that I was once,
Having a ton of love showered upon me,
There are so many things that I got but there are a bucket load of things that you gave up too but what I gotta say is,

Thank you for giving me life,
That you gave me a family,
And I hope that one day I will see you and tell you that I was raised up a happy child and to thank you,
So thank you for giving me life and goodbye for now

Always ur daughter
Ash
