Perfectly Crafted Doll

by Matthew Anthony   Jun 20, 2012

This calm and welcomed soul
why must I dispute
a perfectly crafted doll
subconsciously guiding me through

propping me up when attacked
stuck on my right shoulder with glue
casually dodging the cracks
jumping me over the queue

i'll try to win, and never cry
dealt from a hand that caused a sigh
and sigh you will, you'll never die
i'll capture the might
the might delight

Typos: second stanza, first line, 'proping' is supposed to be 'propping.' Same stanza, fourth line, 'que' isn't and english word...you might have meant 'cue' or something else, I have no idea...also, I think 'sye' in the last word is supposed to be 'sigh.' Just trying to help, it is your choice if you want to change the words.

When I first read this, it reminded me of the little angel/devil that sits on your shoulder telling what/what not to do :] Always thought that was kind of creepy for some reason.

I like the message in this poem - never give up! Keep on fighting.

    Excellent

As I read this I could picture a devil or some kind of "Chucky" doll sitting on your shoulder controlling your every action like whispering into your ear..and the strength is within you to fight it..there is a message within this write for every reader..good one!
