Final Glance of Death

by Jack Nightengale   Jun 26, 2012

You've been waiting for quite a while now,
Here's your chance, take a bow

With you comes a deadly cold breeze,
Every breath stops my heart and makes my lungs freeze

I see you there,
I know you're near,
Your voice I hear,
Death, I don't fear

This darkness I embrace,
The madness, chaos and insanity I endure,
My life is yours, someone better has taken my place,
Damnation is my punishment I'm sure

No coins go pay the ferry man,
Not even a memory to be left behind,
No trace, nor stain to remember in their hearts and mind,
Take this soul and let me leave this land

Allow my heart to beat its last beat,
Now kiss my eyes and lay me to sleep
