Mushrooms

by Karla   Jun 28, 2012

Mushrooms

slowly life knows its simplicity,

opening to the unexpected abandonment

of time, knowing the apex of evolution.

i get up late, stretching my arms

with a strange love on the edge of my eyes,

not looking for anything beyond this sunless now

and its sweet gift .

can't bear this miraculous moment:

the birth of another one of my many lives.

alone, i keep self-fertilizing myself

with my own poetry, multiplying my (in)completeness.

i lack nothing apart from mushrooms and

their fast beauty, I need nothing but their taste

dissolving the morning in my mouth again.

It's morning here and I haven't had breakfast yet but all I needed to read was your title and I got hungry lol

I love how you have compared and connected yourself to them. I love what you've written here!

Mushrooms grow in the dark I believe Karla so I really like:
not looking for anything beyond this sunless now

    and its sweet gift

    and

    alone, i keep self-fertilizing myself

with my own poetry, multiplying my (in)completeness.

You amaze me with your heart and pen. :) Awesomeness as always.
