How about that I
left my shoulders
on your laps,
then I lost you.

Your eyes,
oh so deep
so shallow;
you lost, I.

Having your face
hunting the fake garden,
then your perfume
roaming all around
the narrow halls,
down through
the dustless stairs,
where your smile tripped
several times

is torturing.

Remember how we
never found fun
in black coffee,
yet sniffed laughter
at each bitter sip,
we've even licked
the dry grains off
the poisoned cups
we were offered.

Yeah, we definitely
found consolation
at the bottom of
empty mugs.

Now I can't even
find emptiness,
with all your memories
filling the vacuum.
Your ghost burdens me.
hunts, follows, clings,
just loves me, to death

It is, killing me

Perhaps just like us before,
this ghost of yours
adores irony.

Return those shoulders back for
I'm so, so sadly hunted,

and I hold no idea, as where to go
with my head...

Oh Nana this is beautiful and completely sad!!!

Oh how the words are drenched in emotions and the way you describe this person, they must have been very close to you.

What I love about this piece is the connection you have shown us you had with this person, such intimate details.

    Yeah, we definitely
    found consolation
    at the bottom of
    empty mugs.
    ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
I loved how you said this. It reminds me of the Leb tradition where you look at the empty cup after you've had the Leb coffee so you can see your future.

    Oh awesome, awesome.

First off, I love your new photo. How sunny, yellow and innocent. Secondly, wow, you are forcing me to yell at you, right Nana! Why are you writing sadness again!? I am going to Lebanon to tell K that she needs a hug even if you badly refused and forbade him. :P

Sometimes, when you talk to me on the phone, I feel you are not that romantic, haha. Don't get me wrong. I'm sure you are but you just keep telling me 'Nano, wtf have you done?' and 'Nano, go write an Acrostic and title it A poem that I had to submit because Nana told me to' and...etc etc. :P

Now to the poem. I love it and think it's lovely and full of love and loving and loveliment and loveness. Didn't feel it sad at all, except for the ending maybe.

    'Remember how we
    never found fun
    in black coffee,
    yet sniffed laughter
    at each bitter sip,
    we've even licked
    the dry grains off
    the poisoned cups
    we were offered.'

What a creative piece of art! I feel nostalgic when I spell the word 'coffee' and you mixed it with bitter...sweet and memories. Ahhhh. I just love this!

Will nominate the next week. Yeah, believe it or not, I used my three votes already, blah. Love you, stubborn Juliet.
