So far

by X Harlea X   Jul 20, 2012

Oh how the days seem to turn,
From a hellish nightmare where I burn.
Up into flames through and through,
When all I used to dream about was you.

Oh how the nights, turn into something lonely,
Where I think of you and you only.
Those last few days was like a dream come true,
Until I found out it wasn't the real you.

Oh how my mind, examines all the emotions,
Configuring them over and over like job promotions.
If only I wasn't so blind sided by your smile,
My heart wouldn't have went through this trial.

Oh how my heart beats,
So broken and left on the streets.
As I cry and look up at the stars,
Maybe, just maybe, death won't be so far.

I love the way you make the literature devices have feeling and emotion....its used subtle and only recognized after.
Its a poem one can relate to and the very thoughts at times seem like de-ja-vu
Very good Work Hal :) keep it up! :)
