Moments in Time

by Mortal Utopia   Jul 30, 2012

They sit, silent, under the night-time sky,
With stars twinkling - like tears never to fall.
With time layered on time, memories may hide,
Never to truly disappear. Today,
It embraces them once again - softly -
Eternal in its warm fragility.

He wonders if she will remember him;
She prays that he will think of her
Once in a while, as stars sparkle (silver tears
Frozen in time) - streaming through the sky...

...But yet, how could they know! That out of sight -
Under their dreamy reminiscences
(Each wrapped carefully in starlight), hidden
By flirtatious Yesterday: Tomorrow
Will let them meet - once again, together,
Hand in hand: to smile, to laugh and to cry.
