A river of tears is a river run dry
for we were told not to cry
(who'd want to know the mysteries
of a simple mind and its whimpered whisperings?).

But don't they see the million reflections of your light?
shining like curious questions among the stars.
Bright enough to be you.
All I see is you (and your battle scars).
