He does not know of love

by Stephen   Sep 16, 2012

Given the opportunity she'd exchange her
aspirations for a chance at him living his.
If hinted at the slightest bit of darkness
consuming his castle she'd break down those walls
transforming hellish darkness and demons into
heavenly sunshine with angels.
Her loyalty goes unmatched for he knows
his own body shall abandon him before she will.
She's a miracle when nothing but a miracle will do
and the sign of hope in his despairing mind.
She'd sacrifice anything while expressing
that he is everything. She believes he is strong!
Capable of accomplishing whatever his heart
may desire. Yet he cries for help inside, completely
lost in this world like a puppy abandoned at birth.
She knows this, although he is unaware,
and she still loves him.
Which leads him to believe
that he does not know of love;
for if he did, he'd love her also.

Forgive us men for being so unaware of love.
We are simply not used to soft touches and deeply meant emotions.

So assault our walls and free us if you can :)

    Good write!

It's like I'm reading something emotional from a lyricist. I read it fast, paused a little at some places, then fast again. Stephen, this is stunning IMO. I like how you showcased being unable to feel, while everyone around you pictures you as something big. Cool write.

:-( ............. I keep reading these beautiful and heartfelt, yet sad pieces this weekend... Sometimes the sorrow within is so deep that its hard for us to see true love.... sometimes the heart has a way of trying to keep you safe from harm, when in reality its the mind playing tricks on you... just my thoughts~ Beautiful and touching piece Stephen!
