The Lover

So tired of being the one standing there in the rain,
Screaming your name in vain,
Just standing in the rain I think of how all this tragedy began

Meeting upon one summer,
Thinking what could go wrong,
Never dreaming that what had started as a beautiful thing would turn into a horrible nightmare

Whispering your name,
Your strong arms around me so strong,
What a fool was I to believe in the pathetic lie that you were
The lover!

I fell for that facade,
A bittersweet poison that was what you were,
You never cared for this girl,
Just what pleasure i could bring to you,

Returning to the present,
feeling so damn numb,
not caring how but one way or another i would tear you our of my heart,
that one blissful day,
till then i walk alone

    This poem was good, there are deff some things you can change around, I think all writing can be edited better and better. The piece you wrote was great! There were two stanzas I would probably encourage you to maybe try and change a bit. Your rhyming is great, but if you are rhyming keep the rhythm coming :)

    In that stanza I know what you are trying to tell the reader, for me it did not rhyme with that whole stanza before.

    It is a beautiful poem indeed, I just do think you can always go back one day and change it although like i said very great piece.

    I did enjoy the feelings you put into this piece, keep writing :)

    It feels as though this poem was a bit raw and written straight from the heart in a sense, which is what I enjoyed. A very good read for me. Emotions were clear and straightforward 5/5
