War Speech

by Jack Nightengale   Sep 27, 2012

*this is not a poem, this is a speaking of the mind on war. This is my war speech*

It has often been said that one who enjoys war is crazy, mad, insane, or even down right stupid.
Many people claim to have an open mind but are closed to the thought of war.

Not only am I a person with rights but I am also a warrior with his own reasons and duties that play a part in war.
Some may call me a war fanatic but my thoughts are not so.

It has often been said that I like war...
My friends, my family.... I like war...
No! I love war!

I love all aspects of war!
Some of you are probably asking why, or saying that I'm a retard and have a death wish.
Chances are, all of your opinions may be right to you but, to me they are wrong.

The reason behind the madness is simple!
Everyday is a war. Whether you are just waking up in the morning to go to work, it's a war to pull yourself out of bed and that amazing dream you just had and want to finish just to get ready for this hell that we call reality.

War is love, it is the true heart to humanity. Without violence we cannot have peace. Through war we find out who we are and what we always wanted to be!
Every struggle you go through each and everyday is a war that you choose to embrace and fight to the fullest!

Most wars are not fought by warriors on a battle field or politicians wearing suits in a room discussing means of peace!
Although my heart jumps for joy when I see an enemy blown into the air and shredded to bits by well place sniper rounds!

War is life, whether you're in a uniform fighting for your country, wearing a suit being that corporate business person or politician, or even fighting with yourself to deal with the hand that life has dealt.

War is the love that burns hotter than any fire, shines brighter than any light! War is that joy you feel deep in your soul! War is what is promised, life isn't guaranteed but so long as you're alive you will continue to fight in this war and the next.

Some look for a glorious death or victory!
Some look for its love! I am in love with war and until lady death comes to my side to take me away for good, I will continue to love War!

Ladies and gentleman, boys and girls, in war we are faced with fighting ourselves. Some may see an Angel, Demon, creature, beast, or even a monster. Others may see a hollow shell waiting to be filled with purpose and reason.

You probably wondering what it is that I see when I see myself.
What I see is what was already created. I am a monster that will not back down, I am the demon that will take out the enemy that stands before me, I am the Angel that will lead countless numbers of troops to victory and rattle the gates of the heavens and hell! I am the creature that life thought it could forget about, I am the beast that lingers in the woods that you fear to go in!

I am war!
If you're anti-war, you're lying to yourself!
Even protesting against war is a war itself!
So pull the pin and launch those grenades!

As I have said before, I love war!
With war we shall conquer any obstacle, all the way to Mars!

For tonight I hold my glass up high, to war!

I for one, even though in my opinion think that any war is pointless, love this. The way you explained it coming from your mind was incredible. Some points you made were right on the spot, while others I'd like to argue with you about, but I won't. You were completely correct about how everyday is a war within it's self. Whether your in combat, a police officer, fire fighter, or just a regular civilian, we fight within ourselves just to get up out of bed and to deal with what life has thrown at us. This is by far, my favorite by you, even though it was meant as a speech, it had a poetic type to it as well and that's just another thing to love about it. Now my paragraph comment is done lol :) Amazing job ((5)) and officially nominated.
