Replete Void

by Sunshine   Oct 5, 2012

At night misery in the
form of shades,
and the conquerors
without shadows.

The sky,
just as vague; like
my confessions,
although as clear as fields.

The horses wake up,
the neighing wakes me up too.
Dry hours, dark and long,
without incense, not even dew.

The walls, the ceiling,
even my pillow and my bed,
you know the floor ?
also the corners of the room,
we all die in silence,
in stillness, and cold.

But I suffer not,
as the structures do,
for at night I become
extinct, not there,
like a though,t not thought of.
I just become a short breath
lost in void.

Lost in you.

This poem is interesting. I loved reading it, the images depicted paint an image in my mind of emptiness. I'm not really sure what to say about this poem because I think it's really amazing. I'm in awe, and I can totally relate at the moment, I suppose that's why I'm at a loss for words. This is truly beautiful in it's own right, thank you for sharing this!

Sometimes void is a great grace as the body health. But you really did described it right. I did relate to this condition several times. You revealed the importance of incense and dew in this poem, like the spices added to food. Good job.
