Dragonflies, fearsome guys!

Dragonflies, fearsome guys!

While bike riding one flew by, he did check me out with his eye, decided, too big to eat was I.
They show up in numbers in the Fall, no bugs are safe from them, they eat them all!
Even wasps and hornets are afraid to fly,
knowing of the Dragonfly they could become
dinner, the apple of its eye.
I love when by me they stay, I think to
myself, no critters will bug me today.
They are graceful in flight, no effort, to watch them fly is a delight.
Funny, the dictionary says they are also called darning needles but they can't sew, they are God's creation, that's all I need to know!

Thanks, I love Nature and the secrets revealed through it, the Creation of God with all it's complexity and simplicity!

    Great write!

Nice imagery, I like the relationship with nature, the warmth of it, how it relates to you... tells a lot about your personality.

Excellent, Ken. As you know, I love nature pieces but I also love dragonflies - stunning little creatures that do indeed eat flies which I'm not as keen on!

Thanks brother! I just saw a beautiful picture of a Dragonfly when I clicked on "Bings" web page. They are not only useful as you said but have some nice colors too.
