Little boy in mens shoes

by ah satan 666   Oct 11, 2012

A war rages inside as conflict builds...
the desired truth that I seek, burns deep within my eyes... accompanied by the cold bitter twist of hate!
I see you...I except you for everything that you are.
Don't you dare look me in the eye and wish for me to be different, when you don't have a back bone to say it out loud.
"Friend?!"....
I would never treat an enemy with such twisted passion,
And now you grieve for the loss of "the one" you claim you cared for?!..... And seek pity for your sins.
Hahaha, little boy in men's shoes,
Free advise for the not so wise...
Real men explain and walk the long walk,
Its idiots that scream out loud,
trying to talk the talk!"

...I except you for everything that you are.

    - except should be accept, because you mean that you accept the person.

It is the attitude I love in this poem, really directed at that little boy in the title, who was no where near to being a man, and you show him what real men do, and you gave the ending a funny little verse that made me smile. It was more like a kick in the teeth to him, but I could imagine you holding your head up high, and being grateful that you did not have to settle for the boy, and instead realised he would probably never be a real man.

    Great work

Who bows to rage, accepts defeat. Forgiveness demands no reserve.
