Stripped

by Maple Tree   Oct 22, 2012

My eyes dilated
between black, white
and grey.

He spoke softly
as if a breeze
whisked elegantly
through the office
window, but I was
left stripped, naked
from noise, violently
exposed as if my heart
was on display.

Take away money,
clothes, dancing shoes
and my feel good snacks,

I beg of you-
all that is pure
in this dirty, filthy world,
please don't take away
one of the things that
make me-

me....

You will always be you Maple, although sometimes it feels so very different I know.

This is very emotional and as usual, you capture so much pain and heart ache in such a few words.

I like how you plead to almost swap anything that you have, as long it means you get to keep this other thing. I have felt this way often and wish so much this world worked that way sometimes. It would seem so much easier.

    Stay strong.

Life can change you from one day to the next and make you feel like you are losing a part of you but its just shaking you up to show you how strong you are. You'll always be you.

Really strong, thought provoking write. As always, brilliant.

Its not taken, you're moving on. The thing that makes you you, will soon be replaced by something else, stay optimistic<3

I know its really hard, but thats just a bomb that exploded, the injuries will heal sooner or later, and people that loves you will be there until they do:)
