The Fern (String Senryu)

by Maple Tree   Nov 25, 2012

Leafy medallion's
dangle from paint chipped pillars
dying a slow death.

Barren emptiness,
watering can stands alone
the haunting begins.

Evil lurks in cracks,
floorboards harbor entities
the Fern guards secrets.

Lost souls remain; lost
milk cartons show the faces
last seen at the house.

Weapons never found,
murderer hid them quite well,
unsolved mystery.

Look under the Fern....

Andrea, why do you do this to me? I am seriously freaked out, there has been some awful creepy stuff happening and then I read this!!

^^^Especially this part, that was just so ughh for me, the cold chill I got reading it.

But you my dear, are just a dab hand at every genre, you always capture my attention and make me feel something, whether it is deep, heartbreaking emotion, a warmth and calmness or totally spooked out!

    Just amazing :)
