Cat

by Jack Nightengale   Dec 1, 2012

Black and white is the collie of her hair,
Quickly vanishing like a ninja in thin air.
At night in the dark she's lurking,
When you can't find her under the bed she's stalking.

Pet her head and listen to her purr,
Watch her run across the room leaving a blur.
Her claws are sharp, and her teeth are a danger,
Meows sound like a voice, nothing else could be stranger.

Give her a name and call her home,
As she curls on your lap, never leaving you alone.
Plastic bags are her new found fetish,
My cat Abigail, forever I shall cherish.
