Why are all the bright Rainbows gone at Night

by Sunshine   Dec 23, 2012

Why are all the bright
rainbows gone at night.

I wonder,
why have the paths
gone so wide,
if I'm to stand alone.

Like a pinch of cherry
blossoming in those
hypothetical gardens
of blue and purple sheets.

Where is, reason?
I wonder.

Why have the houses
gone so big,
empty and full-
of void.

Trees so green,
but fruitless, futile.
Surrounding me
like sharp fences
that dive deeply
underneath my trembling land.

It rains, as the sun
discloses her vivid bright claws
to scratch multihued arcs in
the heart of the sky.

But then comes the dark night,
to eat up every sculpture
witnessed by my eyes.

Pitch black; it just makes me
wonder, all by myself,
where have the sincere
rainbows gone at night.

Where is, reason.

The last time I went on retreat on the way back home there was a rainbow in the sky. When the sunlight hits the natural prism formed by clear drops of rain we see a beauty connecting heaven to earth . Kind of like you sunshine

Nana, This piece is really well written, there are some awesome lines within the piece and it felt slightly melancholic with some of the expressions, it seems to me that your thoughts are pondering on a subject that you cannot understand,
The title seems a little long but that's just my opinion, it might work better shorter, maybe "why are all the rainbows gone?", once you read the poem you get the full question anyway, but again just my personal thought on it.

    Lovely piece, sweets
