Ghost of Far Away

by Maple Tree   Jan 5, 2013

Deep in the belly of a
violent storm, rages
seas of turbulent
redemption,
scattered medalions
fall like spirits
of lost, skeletal
faces,
draped
in an undying
need to hang on-

Still in the calm of
a soft rain,
she weeps
and I can
feel her
crying....

Hi Hello Mapple Tree, I just have no idea what form this poem could be...but it narrates how a person is expressing the feeling inside. Simple form but the impact is impressive....

As always there's that nature tone in there, always beautiful to read from you...I think the sadness here is deep to the point that its restricted in the poem, I feel more wanted to come out but you held back, there definitely was something that you needed to write.

I don't know how I didn't see this before, its really moving and deep.

    Redemntion - redemption??

This poem was so powerful, it came in 2 small parts both so strong but in different ways. The first half hols more darkness and depth and poetic meaning inside it, as if you disguise the feelings you have through metaphors because it is easier to let them out this way..

Then in the end, you just let go and say exactly how it is that it feels for you. Rain and crying always go together to make such strong imagery. It really describes the pouring that occurs inside of us in times od desperate pain and suffering when we cannot see a way out of something.

Small poem, few words, very very big impact as always.

    Keep writing xx
