That Feeling

by lillie   Jan 15, 2013

Bright lights, brighter than the sun, than the moon.
Where have I gone? Has my time come so soon?

I came before some gates which sparkled of silver.
There came a shadow before me, it made me quiver.

"You come before me, my child, state your name."

Like a scared little puppy, I answered in shame.

The tall figure, stood and smiled with eyes so blue.
Silver gates swung open, in that moment, I truly knew.

My heart fluttered, dancing in circles glowing with glee.
This place was breath taking, something only few could see.

Before stepping into the beautiful scenery before my eyes.
There was beauty in this spectacular surprise.

You pushed a button, and I flew through a tunnel with everything left unsaid.

Grasping for air, my eyes opened and I fell off my bed.
A relief of happiness, it was a dream inside my head.

*This poem is about the feeling you get when you are falling in a dream, a new genre I thought I'd write about*
