Appropriate husband for the daughter [Tanka]

by Khalid M Darwish   Mar 14, 2013

Your daughter's marriage
if it works you win a son
and both become yours
But if it fails you lose both
Your daughter and her husband

I really have no words for your excellence in words. The only thing I can say is that your poems are a message and a wise one!

I agree on the part about winning a son, but not entirely on losing a daughter. As a daughter is the daughter and even if the marriage doesn't work, I don't see how is the parent to blame?

oh, Sir, is this in relation to arrange marriages?

^ I think the son is her husband, fails means you lost the both. so both are not good looking in their life.
khalid your poems are always deep even it may be a short poem.
