Preserved Ink

by ah satan 666   Apr 2, 2013

My chest is now a precious cage,
protecting those who i've treasured.
A structured frame with tattooed skin,
of friendships and distances measured.

I've rolled up into scrolls,
many hearts and many souls...
of writers bleeding their inked tolls.

Wrapped with love i tie a red bow,
timeless scripts I collect begin to grow.
Through next generations...for i will be gone,
a love for great poetry now able to go on.

~~~~~~~~~~
My chest of treasured friends, as I preserve great poetry
for generations after me...
A "Timeless Collection" to grow.
    Everything you write is so creative, woman. Sometimes I just like..I don't even know what to say. xD
    "My chest is now a precious cage,
    protecting those who i've treasured."
    This piece is absolutely lovely. It's not just storing them in a box, I can see how it can mean your mean chest as in "heart", which is so clever, and totally sweet.
    There's a few "i"s that are lowercase. Just a head's up. :)
    Lovely write, Natasha :)
    Natasha, our poetry goes on for decades, as long as we stay true to who we are, and once we are gone from this world, our poetry can still touch, still inspire...its great to see you cataloguing it, just makes me feel a bit sad that you feel you need to do this now, that this piece sounds like you are giving something to be known for, remembered by...
    you're beautiful, your'e poetry is beautiful.
    Just a few "i"'s that need capitalising, otherwise, great flow and thoughts...
    xx
