Words become salvaged
yet never lose their sparkle;
a new treasure found.

    Words always sparkle when it comes to poetry. Deep within ourselves in our soul is where poetry comes from. simple yet it speaks so much with such few words 5/5

    I think I have read a senryu or two before. And maybe due to the length, I find them forgettable. This one however, I don't think I'd forget any time soon. Since starting writing again, I can highly relate to this. Sometimes I read some poems I wrote three years ago when I started writing and I can't help but smile. They may be considered really bad technically and all that, but I still "treasure" them. I think it's the same for a whole bunch of other people and you penned the meaning of that perfectly here. I also loved the use of "salvaged". I don't often read it anymore, and it's used beautifully.

    So much packed into a small bit.. and I love that you used a semi-colon. It's not often used in poetry but belongs it in more than people realize to rid the "fillers". Also love that you used salvaged. One mans garbage is another mans treasure!

    There's such a moment of understanding I feel right away from your opening lines... like a tie to these words that we often neglect or waste. There is a bond formed when we find them again, pick them up and write lovingly with them, like we care about them. And then we realize they never lost their meaning, begat makes them shine and us feel like we know what value is. A very happy, full piece to read, I was satisfied from this haiku and it's kind of a haiku I could just sigh in content after reading, good job!
