Little monster

by lillie   Apr 7, 2013

There once was a monster whose fir was black as night.
It was said that he was quite scary, gave people a fright.

This monster he was lonely, had a pair of wings.
He used to love to ponder, listen to birds chirp and observe other things.

He would often wonder how, these birds could even fly.
But often his mind, would trick him and tell him a silly lye.

He would never fly for he was never really a bird.
Although monster would sing beautifully, but he could not be heard.

He lived in a cave far from any one who walked.
He's never met his kind, or anything that could talk.

This lonely little monster, wished his wings would fly.
So he could prove to everyone that monsters could
reach the sky.

So this monster wait for the day hes granted his wish.
He observes the birds who sing, and the mermaids in the water he calls fish.

Soon that little monster will fly as long as he has wings.
