Forever Young (Shadow Sonnet)

Special was our love...Oh! how special
time spent together, precious was our time
endless days, that summer did seem endless
alas, fall found us and you left...alas.

Years have passed now, endless empty years
still I reminisce and miss you still
do you remember me? I hope you do
perhaps in a caressing breeze...perhaps.

Memories, all that's left...sweet memories
evenings alone, long desolate evenings
despair! guaranteed company, despair
lips whispering your name...barren lips.

Death comes to all, to live we must face death
why take one so young I ask you?...Why?

    Firstly thank you for introducing this form. You have done it well keeping the smoothness of the flow with the fitting of the words both at the start and end.

    As for the write itself, you have opened up, drawn a warm loving relationship to the reader setting a lovely atmosphere. Slowly the pain unfolds and the sorrow of loosing that special love which once colored your life.

    Love of any form when lost is painful...take care.
