The needle kiss

by PAUL HEWSON   Jan 23, 2014

Mary rocks herself to sleep again
Ya know she is so scared of the first light
And shes thinking of that first time
The needle bite
It bit her so damn deep

Outside she can hear the street light siren
silver gold oil painted distorted view
And she thinks of her past life
a lovers kiss
it was suppose to be her keep

-------------------------

The sun left no shadow
the wind began to call
autumnal kaleidoscope
but the leaves will never fall
rock yourself to sleep my love
forget about it all
hear the wind a coming love
soon the leaves must fall
-----------------------------------

Piss stinking pale skin blues ,empty room
hasn't seen the sun in years
another winter passes by you
and your out of reach
this is not supposed to be

fade to gray to dust to death
so scared of the first light
remember the first time
the lovers kiss
it hurt you to damn deep!
--------------------------------------------
The sun left no shadow
the wind began to call
autumnal kaleidoscope
but the leaves will never fall
rock yourself to sleep my love
forget about it all
hear the wind a coming love
soon the leaves must fall
