Its hard to pretend you're happy
When all you feel is pain
Its hard to feel unaffected
Whenever you hear his name

Its hard to move on...
And forget about your past
Its hard to accept....
... A love that'll never last

Its hard to say "you're alright"
When your voice starts to shake
Its hard to deceive yourself
When you know your smile is fake

Its hard to stop the tears
From falling from your eyes
But the hardest thing of all
Is to believe your own lies

    This is the first time I've read any of your poems. If sifted through about 6 or 7 of them... you remind me a lot of myself when I first started writing poetry. This piece is something I can heavily relate to right now. "The Hardest Thing" is trying to move forward with your life as if nothing is the matter with you, when truly inside, you have no motivation to do anything- to smile, laugh or be the person you normally are..
