Remorse Awaits

by Blake A Eveleigh   Nov 26, 2014

To, you say that you heart beats clear,
But I know that your blood flows cold,
As I know the sky is blue!
That this sea is green...

Pain lies in the shadow,
Guild wisps on the wind,
To but be heard if only you listen,
With your soul, not your ears,

To you say that remorse lies unscathed,
But I know that deep down are its roots,
As I know that the birds sing and fly,
That and people walk,

Or do they crawl?
Burdened with this weight,
Of a thousand sand bags,
Remorse Awaits...
