Summer Night Dream

by Mahal Ko Kuya Ko   Apr 6, 2015

You always disappear
like Dandelions on a sunspot-filled road,
marshmallows on the oven place,
the labyrinthine time,
and a summer night dream.

Farewell.

---

I can't have the courage to tell you
what you mean to me.
Am thinking of turning in my essays
in a day or two --
hoping you will know that
you are the world to me.

Was it all a dream?
I am going to forget about it
for it will just fade soon
like myriads of hope
amidst foolish dreams
that dreamcatchers just let pass through
and don't even filter.

Wine cellars sound melancholic.
I will stay here like a ghost,
like the eastern wind
that won't even get a chance
to caress your face.

Like the dream last night,
I'm going to go now.

The fleeting feelings and emotions that comes with a dream leaves a lingering emotion which is etched into one's heart. I like the images here...beautifully penned.
