My Battle is Already Lost

by Someone Invisible   Oct 18, 2015

There's something in my chest squeezing tight
my eyes are irritated and red from tryin' not to let go
both hands shaking so I close them in a fist so tight
just waiting for tonight to swim down River Woe.

Because I'm losing the battle I'm waging inside
fighting to breathe while the waters take me under
I'm stumblin' through with my uneven stride
dodging the lightening, cringing from the thunder.

What did I do and how do I fix it?
Why am I deemed unworthy of what should be natural?
Should I just be done with it and quit?
Leave with a heart that's become so fragile?

I don't know what to do here anymore....

Another poem I forgot about. Its about my mother's love and how she wouldn't give it to me.
