How to make bread

First make sure you have all the ingredients
Flour, oil, butter, yeast, water and salt.
Put the flour in a bowl then add butter.
Pour in the salt at one end of the bowl
And the yeast at the other end
Or the yeast will be killed by the salt.
Stir with all you've got.
Add half the water, mix with your hands
Picking up all the flour from the sides
Don't make it sticky or soggy,
Make it just right, a rough dough.
Grease a side with a teaspoon of oil
Making sure you have plenty room
To fold and knead out the dough
Once kneaded return the dough to the bowl
Cover with cling film and leave for an hour

Once doubled in size the dough is ready
Take it out and put on some flour on the side
Take your hands and knock out the air,
Making it into a bread shape
Placing it onto a lined baking tray
Leave for a further hour to prove
Preheat the oven to gas mark 7
The hours passed and proving done
So now sprinkle on some flour,
Gently rub it in
Create a diamond shape on top with a sharp knife
30 minutes and it will be done
Risen and shiny just check, give it a tap
Hollow sounding? Then its surely done

Let it cool and then eat.
I prefer to butter and dip it in my soup.
