Already Ghosts

I wish I could remember
how you always turned my world around
every time I was feeling low.
How you would break down every barrier
and heal this hurt I held inside.

All this time I couldn't see
what we had was all a lie.
You turned my world completely upside down
by walking out without even a hint of a fight.

I tried so hard to salvage us
for we were once so close,
I thought we would never change.
I was holding on so tightly,
hoping that you would fix us one last time,
but perhaps we are already ghosts,
living in separate worlds.
