Oh Buttermilk Sky

by Maple Tree   Nov 28, 2016

I watched her rise from the east-

Rosebuds gathered at her feet
as she sang to me one last time.

Buttermilk skies are crying...
her final Melody,
Heart strings wish
For the piano to keep
On playing,

But the sky is raining tears.

    Andrea,

I will not dishonour this with any other comment than 'beautiful'. Your Gran must have been immensely proud of you.

    Nominated.

    Take care and stay well,
