Endless Sunsets

by Maple Tree   Feb 27, 2017

Black paint spatters cover a room
that once glistened from the
summer sun.

Curtains would smell of lavender,
as I knew summer would take
every breath of me.

Darkness is the mood of night,
so beautiful, mystical and
mysterious....

But this void keeps knocking
upon a never ending sunset,
and I would like to see dawn
just one more time.

Wonderful imagery and emotion woven. Particularly love the last verse "But this void keeps knocking upon a never ending sunset and I would like to see dawn just one more time"
