Raw and Unedited

When I look at a person
the eyes speak to me,
what they say matters
and if respect is recived
It is given.

I'm writing from my gut
not my creativity,
there is fire within me
and I'm gonna scream it!

The voice within my soul
does not see color,
It feels heart, passion
drive and compassion.

I simply, don't care how you
choose to live your life,
I care how you treat me.

People are beautiful,
let's stop judging what
we don't understand
and support what they
bring to this world.

I wear a coat of many colors;
It's not all black and white...
if you get to know a person's heart
you won't give a damn what they look like...

Or who they love
how they live
what God they pray for...

It just won't matter in the end.

I feel like you've got a couple poems trying to say this, and this one has hit the nail on the head for sure. It's simple but it's got power and voice and still the love that oozes from your soul (not just your poetry). Great write!

I don't think anyone could have put this better, Andrea. Life is much more peaceful when we live without constantly judging others.
