Daddy's Little Girl

I miss you like the stars miss the moon
on the darkest of the months night
I miss you like a hungry animal
who has just lost his food in a wild fight
I miss you like the dried out dessert misses rain
and there isn’t a single fluffy cloud in site

Daddy you’ve always been here
when I’ve seemed to need you most
Daddy I’m sorry I’m selfish now
while you’re visiting a different coast
daddy please come home to me, I’m sinking
I can’t seem to stay afloat
Daddy, I'm begging you now
Even if you need to take a boat

I may be twenty seven
But at heart I’m still your “daddy’s little girl”
I’m still the apple of your eye
in this big horrendous world..

    No matter how much we grow, we are always little in the eyes of our parents.

    My mother calls me everyday that I am taking my diet properly or not.

    Nams, I don't know the reason why your daddy is far from you and seriously I don't wanna ask.
    Such questions are sensitive just as this poem of yours, but I hope and pray that he should come back soon to his little gal.

      Lucifer - Dad is on a vacation in the USA with my Nanna (his mum) visiting family while they still can together.. he is there for a total of 3 weeks in Hawaii and 3 in Dallas, Texas, then home for 3 days, before they bth spend 2 weeks in the Phillipines. So, It isnt anything bad.

    Nams, I know how close you are to.your dad and him being away must be awful. Hang in there, he'll be back soon and no matter how far away he is you are always his little girl..hugs my friend-

      Em - dad off in the US with nanna for 6 weeks, is back for 3 days then they are both off to the phillipines! Im glad theyre travelling, but i do miss him greatly.
