Blood Suckers

by Kitty Cat Lady   Jan 5, 2018

Take your number and wait your turn
Have something to do, there's time to burn
It takes time you know to extract the red
And there's not enough nurses, nor enough beds

The tests are needed to check for health
And they'll get the blood with practice and stealth
"A small sharp scratch" you will be warned
As the needle pricks more sharp than thorns

You see and feel the blood as it's drained
Such an odd feeling, though I wouldn't say pained
I'll wait for results and hope for the best
So much can be told from that one simple test.

Blood test...it's really agony Kitty when it's done on your child. A nice piece I can relate well. :-)

Sorry I missed your last couple, Kitty, but I am here to make amends!
A unique subject this, and hey, if you have to endure blood work, you may as well have a little fun with turning the experience into a rhyming story!

    Excellent
