Winter Sorceress (Acrostic + Rime Couee + Balassi Stanza)

by stormingdance (Lessa)   Jan 18, 2018

While clutching me with icy claws
I fear my fragile heart to pause
Nippy tendrils tangle
Tresses, silken ice, beg thy thaws
Ensnared in her tenacious jaws
Raw, embittered strangle

Snowfall makes her applause
Over iced hills she gnaws
Reaching for her frosted grasp
Crashing bodies mangle
Erupts crystal spangle
Radiating winter's clasp
Empty hearts do implore
Shattered frost 'pon her shore
Shaking off her bitter rasp
