Her love ain’t hidden
its just not a show
for the whole world to see
it is a love that seeks commitment
that holds the future with both hands

Her love,
is an early 2000’s R&B song
shawty, makes every thing magical
a car ride, a lazy weekend thrown in bed,
a quick run to the supermarket
arguing over what to eat

Her love don’t tag me nowhere
but it shows up
doesn’t allow me to pay for anything
calls me beautiful
kisses every stretch mark
wants to know my secrets

Her love does not send me love notes,
is not corny, does not glitter
won’t have anyone screaming “goals”
but finds its way between
my soul and my body
connects the dots
makes me shake
brings me the stars

Her love is a silence,
that speaks volumes
and I,
I wouldn’t have it any other way.
