little flower

I plucked you from a meadow because I was transfixed by your beauty.

As you sit within that vase, I gradually watch you die.

The tips of your petals begin to change from yellow to brown. Your stem becomes weak and you fade away little by little.

I did this to brighten my own life. Yet it now feels darker.

    Such a beautiful but sad little write! I was transfixed from the start ...and so sad at the end for this "little flower! "( I will have seconds thoughts before pulling a flower again lol. )

    This is a unique twist to a metaphor
    that has been written of before,
    I can't get enough of this poem
    and just how beautiful it is.

    There is so much beauty and sorrow
    mixed within this rich little poem- its just wonderful!

    In just five lines there is beauty, feelings and a little warmth
    with an ending and a truth that all good things come to an end
    and that applies in every aspect of life doesn't it....take care
