I just wanted to say that I read this before I left for work this morning, and I laughed ridiculously loud. I was not expecting this, but it's hilarious and as a dog mom, I get it! ;)

This poem legitimately made me laugh out loud. Not only is the pun in the title funny, but the poem is great as well.

The title screams something to do with flies and something that made you crossed eye. So that peaks the readers interest right away. At least it did for myself. Not much else to say about the title as I feel it is perfect the way it is.

Oh just from the first line you get a sense that it will be about autumn (obviously). So perhaps all the leaf changes and color made you crossed eyes. It's very logical in the sense. So reading on makes me want to find the funny part, because this is a great set up to the rest of the poem.

*laughs* There is not a lot that can be said about this. You pretty much said it all, but it would make sense that it would be hard to find your doggies accident as you say. So the title of the poem is starting to make sense. But I believe the last line should be about the flies themselves.

And yes it is. And it all fits together well in my opinion. The leaves are a great start to the poem because people find autumn calming but even with the very next line it becomes more hectic so to speak. Then the flies part, enough said.

    Well crafted poem!
