No more escaping

by Dagmar Wilson   Mar 29, 2019

The surprises life can hold
one incident will change your whole world,
the past has me by the neck.
The nights keep me up.

What seemed to be forgotten
it happened many moons ago,
I am exhausted from trying to remember correctly.
Questions keep shooting at me.

Life is all about choices
I was not thinking,
now I am feeling the side effects.
The whole me is like prison, no more escaping.

Past always haunts us doesn't it despite how much we try to forget about it unfortunately but it shapes us into the person we are today so I guess in some ways there's no chance it can be forgotten.

Miss Dagmar, things have a way of haunting us. Sometimes we never know what choices bring with life.
A great piece you have written
    Much hugs, M :)x
