Obsessed

by Dagmar Wilson   Apr 21, 2020

My eyes are tired from watching
this poor excuse of a leader,
he calls himself best King ever.

A master of destruction
lies and distraction,
promoting crimes of all kinds.

The love of power
lack of intelligence,
his mouth is spitting up foul words.
Desperation is driving him insane.

A narcissistic psychopath
his sickness does not feel guilt,
the rope he threw is getting tied around his neck.

Yes, indeed. I wish more people could just be wary of politicians and "leaders" in general, instead of making excuses for them. I know nobody's perfect, but there has to be some semblance of respect (from the politicians' side). I should not be forced to respect anyone who does not respect minorities, people in poverty, those struggling to survive. Sometimes, it's exhausting to think how many in society are followers, when I wish they could form their own opinion, despite who they side toward or not.

The title made me think of self-obsession, ego, but also how people are obsessed with hearing his words. I have a friend who has the news on 24/7 and I've never heard an individual thought from her that's not regurgitated from some politician, you know?

I feel you in this piece, sending all the love to you, Dagmar. Hope you can find some sort of peace during this time <3

All said so well Miss Dagmar, but so sad is the truth. Our hopes are crushed at the moment!

Hope you are well and safe, M :)
