Star

by Obscure   Apr 11, 2019

The stars collapsed
and in their flames
I saw stained glass
From picture frames

Their glory screams
tales of the end
Tears flood my face
as friend fights friend

I saw a sun
And in it's heat
A thousand lives
I'll never meet

Death comes too soon
For harmless babes
And leaves the ones
turned old and grey

When darkness comes
and senses flee
You'll understand,
you'll be like me

Pain and sorrow
too long alive
I want to be
allowed to die

I do hope someone nominates this for the weekly competition. I would love to do so myself but I'm out of nominations at present. Wonderfully written.

    All the best
