Gone (rhymed etheree)

by Larry Chamberlin   May 27, 2019

Heart
broken
torn token
words unspoken
now fallen apart.
Do not play forsaken
when it was you who left me.
The dawn calls you, go and be free.
If you return don’t bother to plea,
your place at my hearth will long be taken.
