napowrimo 8 - Rain

by Sunshine   Apr 10, 2020

Have you seen crumbles of light before?
The stars were falling
engraving the sky at my window
cribbing reflections from the corner
where streetlights rise quite tall.
The night was eerie
it lured me into cold.
The tapping, a soothing song
wrapped up my skin and my soul.
The sun in my pocket
and summer in its torn hole.
All else was silent
but the cracking wood
and the bare flooded floor.
The stars were falling
it was night behind the window
and finally
rain was sneaking below my door.
