The places we go

by Penned Parodist   Jun 29, 2020

How much can one take
That’s a heavy burden can you carry
No measurement can justify this weight
You battle a mood contrary

When all is forgotten
Memories offer no form of trust
The world around you turned rotten
Staying the course, you must

Crying alone is the only peace
A cleansing of mind, some relief
Despair is knowing it will not cease
Comfort is knowing your partner in grief

To what corner will you go
It’s the familiar place you know
