There's No Need

by Walter   Jul 9, 2020

There's no need to say it
I know you so well
Even though you are silent
There's so much you tell

This moment is magic
With all that we share
Your touch is so warm
Our reflections that glare

A candle burns brightly
It's flickering light
As if it's competing
With the spark we ignite

Your warmth is so burning
And felt deep within
The sensation tingling
When you touch my skin

I cannot be closer
But you prove me wrong
This moment we share
Is where we belong

And affection we feel
As I breathe you in
Becoming more desperate
For oxygen

The sound of your voice
Now silent from you
There's no need to say it
Because I love you too

It's beautiful to realize and experience intimacy with a person, and that words aren't always needed to state that, or broaden it. You can be in their presence and feel the depths of their love, their affection and devotion. Wonderful, Walter!

This is so true and it's amazing how all these emotions can be shared without saying a single word...Your comment describes it perfectly. Thanks Poet!
