Once upon a bomb

by nouriguess   Aug 6, 2020

The smoke
looked fascinating,
red and
orange and grey.

Nicely-clothed men
in a mansion
shook hands,
signed papers,
divided the trophy.

I watch the smoke,
it settles after an hour.
The bodies are visible now,
red and orange
and grey.

The nicely-clothed men
are on the TV
condemning the explosion,
smoke coming out
of their mouths.

Those ending lines, danng! Such a powerful commentary on this, on politicians and the rich and hypocrisy and the failure of governments to put their people first.

    SO many provoking points!
