Many Moons

by IdTakeABulletForYou   Oct 2, 2020

There was no wrath,
there was no pain
where underneath the sun we'd lain
until the night
and still, then, noon,
from whence we laid for many moons.

It was of bliss
- so tamed as this -
the beast called love so many miss.
I crave it so,
though glad to know
and sad to watch that tamed beast go.

I love how this was written with the rhymes and speaking of love as a tamed beast, and it tells that story of love lost in just two stanzas. Missed reading your work, Stephen!
